We will discuss your financial options with you at no charge. If you determine you need to file bankruptcy we will help you choose the best chapter of bankruptcy (7 or 13) to fit your needs. Bankruptcy can involve restructuring your debts (Chapter 13) or eliminating them (Chapter 7). The filing of either type of bankruptcy not only stops lawsuits, garnishments, and harassing phone calls from creditors, but Chapter 13 may enable you to save your home from foreclosure or pay back taxes without further penalties or interest. The most common form of bankruptcy, Chapter 7, typically takes about four months to complete. It requires debtors to make one brief appearance to answer questions before a bankruptcy trustee, and is usually done for one fixed attorney fee. Your eligibility for Chapter 7 depends, in part, on your household income for the previous six months and your expenses. Procedures in a typical Chapter 7 case are summarized later in these materials. Chapter 13 plans involve a three to five year repayment schedule which commits all your disposable income to pay a portion of your debt. It also requires each debtor to make a brief appearance before a bankruptcy trustee. Attorney fees in Chapter 13 vary depending on length and the complexity of your case. WE ARE A DEBT RELIEF AGENCY. WE HELP PEOPLE FILE FOR BANKRUPTCY RELIEF UNDER THE BANKRUPTCY CODE. -
Family Law Our office handles a full range of Family Law matters, including divorce, establishment and modification of child custody and support, premarital agreements, adoption, parenting time issues, and paternity. Legal disputes relating to divorce or which involve children can be very emotional for the participants. Often mediation can offer the best path toward resolution. If appropriate, we encourage our clients to try mediation as an alternative to litigation. -
Personal Injury If you have been injured, or if a family member has been injured or killed in an accident, please call us. We assist our clients in receiving the maximum possible compensation for their injuries, lost wages, and other damages. We take personal injury cases on a "contingent fee" basis. Our fee is contingent upon your recovery. You pay no attorney fees unless we recover money for you. If you or a family member has been injured in an accident, please give us a call. -
Real Estate We represent individuals in legal proceedings and transactions which involve real property (land and the structures attached to it), including purchase and sale agreements, notes and trust deeds, foreclosures, leases, adverse possession, quiet title actions and boundary disputes. - Wills and Probate Many young adults do not believe they need a Will. However, for young parents an important issue for their family is who will be guardians of their children if the parents die in an accident. If you are older or without young children, we can help you decide whether you need a Will. Everyone should have an Advance Directive, which designates who will make health care decisions if you become incapacitated, and to what extent you want your life supported in such situations. We also represent executors and personal representatives in probate matters.
